After the debut of the Aston Martin DBS in the most recent Bond flick, "Casino Royale," it looks like 007 No. 22 will feature the incredible "concept" Jaguar C-XF unveiled this week in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show.

There are concerns within the company that the sale of Aston Martin could mean that vehicle production would move out of the UK, causing the loss of nearly 1,000 jobs. Could they really build an Aston Martin anywhere but the UK? If they do, they might have to deal with 007 himself.

There is something terribly disturbing about announcing that a Citroën 2CV has beaten out a Lotus Esprit and a trio of Aston Martins. Lotus CEO Mike Kimberley let slip in an interview with PistonHeads that the Hethel-based automaker would indeed be calling its upcoming mid-engine supercar the Esprit, a name that graced the flanks of the supercar for which Lotus is most well known. The slip was entirely unintentional, as a PR person next to the CEO corrected his boss on the reference, saying that what he meant to say was 'the mid-engined sports car". Sure, right.

A public vote held by the British auto rag CAR has landed the Ascari KZ1 supercar the leading role in an upcoming Hollywood remake of The Persuaders, originally a British TV series from the early Seventies that starred Roger Moore and Tony Curtis. The KZ1 beat choices from Lamborghini, Ferrari and even Aston Martin, which just rolled out its new Bond car last week, the John Neff
